The Role As Deputy Head of Secondary, you will: Support the Head of Secondary in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school. Lead and monitor outstanding teaching and learning across the Secondary phase. Drive curriculum development and continuous school improvement initiatives. Mentor, coach, and develop middle leaders and teaching staff. Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, and student wellbeing. Analyse assessment data to improve student achievement. Build strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider school community. Support inspection readiness and accreditation processes. Contribute to the schools vision, values, and long-term strategic planning. Requirements Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will possess: A Bachelors Degree in Education or a relevant subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent). A Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (desired but not essential). A minimum of 5 years successful Secondary teaching experience within the British Curriculum. At least 3–5 years senior leadership experience as Deputy Head, Assistant Head, Head of Department, or equivalent. A proven track record of improving teaching, learning, and student outcomes. Experience working in a British international school, preferably within the GCC. Outstanding leadership, communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A collaborative, professional, and student-centred leadership style. The ability to inspire staff while creating a positive and inclusive learning culture.
