The Role We are seeking a highly qualified HSE Chief to lead and manage our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices on our construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with local and international safety standards, foster a culture of safety awareness, and drive initiatives that promote a safe working environment for all employees and contractors. Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in accordance with UAE regulations and international best practices. - Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards and identify potential hazards. - Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Provide HSE training and awareness programs to all staff and subcontractors. - Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction projects. - Prepare HSE reports and maintain accurate records for management review and regulatory compliance. - Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging employees and encouraging reporting of unsafe conditions or behaviors.
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 7 years experience in HSE management within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region. - Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations and international standards such as ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001. - Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence teams and promote safety culture. - Certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent is highly preferred. - Ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement effective corrective measures. - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
