The Role
BESTE is looking for an experienced Downhole Tool Runner to deploy on rig sites across Saudi Arabia, supporting Saudi Aramco well programs with the safe and effective running of specialized downhole tools. You will be responsible for the complete field lifecycle of tools — from workshop inspection and make-up through rig-floor assembly, running, and post-job reporting. Your technical expertise in BHA components, Under-reamers, reamers, hole openers and Jars will be critical to ensuring service quality, tool integrity, and flawless rig-site execution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Tool Deployment & BHA Assembly – Oversee the complete assembly, function testing, and running of bottom-hole assemblies (BHA) and associated downhole tools at the rig site. – Verify tool specifications, torque values, thread make-up, and dimensional compatibility against the approved well program prior to each run. – Ensure all tools are correctly spaced, stabbed, and handled in accordance with the manufacturers and clients procedures. Workshop Coordination & Tool Readiness – Coordinate with the BESTE maintenance workshop to ensure all tools are inspected, serviced, calibrated, and dispatched on time. – Maintain up-to-date tool inventory, asset tracking records, and pre-run inspection reports for all assigned tools. – Escalate tool deficiencies or servicing gaps to the operations supervisor ahead of mobilization. Rig-Site Technical Liaison – Serve as the primary BESTE technical contact on the rig, liaising with Aramco drilling supervisors on tool parameters, limitations, and operational constraints. – Respond in real time to tool-related issues or complications during tripping and drilling operations. – Conduct post-run tool inspections, document findings, and initiate CPI reports where applicable. – Lead tool-related pre-job safety meetings and actively apply HSE Stop Work Authority when unsafe acts or conditions are identified. – Mentor and guide junior field technicians and trainees on tool handling, safety protocols, and reporting standards.

Requirements
– Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. – 1–5 years hands-on field experience running downhole tools and BHA components. – Working knowledge of drilling jars, reamers, under-reamers, hole openers and other common BHA components. – Proficiency in thread identification, torque make-up procedures, and dimensional compatibility checks. – Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage. – Ability to work rotational schedules and travel across Saudi Arabia on short notice. – Saudi National or KSA-resident candidates strongly preferred.
