dmg events appoints new Vice President of Design & Hospitality Division

June 03, 2015: dmg events, an international exhibition company, have appointed Andy Stuart as the new Vice President of the company’s Design and Hospitality Division for the Middle East and Asia.  Andy will take over responsibility from Mike Allsopp following his retirement in September this year.  Andy will oversee the current portfolio of marketing leading events, developing and evolving the division with expansion into new territories and sectors. 

Andy has had a remarkable career to date that has spanned the past 16 years.  During the past four years he has headed UBM’s largest event portfolio, Design and the Built Environment, which comprised of 5 large scale events, 5 large conferences, numerous awards programs and digital platforms.   His past experiences includes numerous show launches, awards, publications, digital based communities with operational experience throughout UK & Europe, India, Russia, UAE, China and the USA.  Prior to joining UBM Andy launched and sold his own exhibition business to UBM, highlighting his entrepreneurial expertise and his ability to push the boundaries, take calculated risks and fulfil the role of business owner.

In addition the portfolio includes The Hotel Show, Workspace and the newly launched Covering Middle East brand.   The Hotel Show hosted in Dubai is the region’s largest gathering of the expanding hospitality segment.
