New sponsorship campaign to drive interest in Abu Dhabi as holiday destination for fans
23 December, 2014. Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: A new microsite – intotheblue.ae – was launched around last month’s City vs Swansea match. On it fans have the chance to take part in a digital Fan Mosaic competition to win an end of season Grand Prize double-header – a trip to Abu Dhabi followed by one to Manchester to watch City play the last Barclays Premier League game of the 2014/15 season at the Etihad Stadium.
To enter the Fan Mosaic competition, fans upload an image of themselves on match day through intotheblue.ae to claim a pixel of the mosaic. A host of instant prizes are on offer throughout the season including signed shirts, balls and match tickets. Visitors to the website can vote for their favourite photo and share them with friends through social media. The image with the most fans’ votes on 21st March 2015 will win the end of season Grand Prize.
Into the Blue gives fans the chance to learn more about their club, offering access to previously unseen parts of Manchester City through a series of video content to be released throughout the current season.
The campaign will be measured across multiple metrics throughout the course of the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League season, and is hoped will lead many more City fans to consider Abu Dhabi as a holiday destination.
