Presence of Global Beauty Star Joelle Mardinian Provides Additional Glamour

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 23 December 2014: Attracting participation from well-known international brands and national and regional companies, Saudi Arabia's first edition of the Health & Beauty Show 2014 was held from 24th – 27th November 2014 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events. Organised by Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions and powered by interCHARM, a leading event for professional cosmetics and equipment industries in Europe, the exhibition, co-located alongside the Saudi International Sport & Fitness Show, was inaugurated by celebrity guest Joelle Mardinian, a prominent TV personality and one of the top beauty authorities in the region.

Providing an essential gateway and platform for beauty and wellbeing businesses to access the Kingdom's lucrative SAR 60 billion cosmetics market, the Health & Beauty Show 2014, attended by more than 6,000 high calibre visitors, presented over 100 exhibitors showcasing 147 brands from 15 countries in five international pavilions, and introduced novel products from global destinations including South Africa, Korea, China, Germany, Turkey, India, USA, Russia and France. Nazih Group, Wella, L'Oréal, Unilever, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital, Janssen Cosmetics, Al Nadhi, Gulcicek Kimya, Binzagr Company Beauty Unit, Bourjois, Jean Louis David and Banaja Pharmaceuticals Company were among the major brands exhibiting.

John Hooke-Tappin, Show Director at Reed Sunaidi, said: “The positive response received from both exhibitors and visitors is a testament to the great potential of Saudi Arabia's health and beauty market. The Saudi Health & Beauty Show gave industry professionals and interested parties direct access to leading international manufacturers and experts—all under one roof—to see, test and compare the latest products and developments in the health and wellness market.”

A highlight at the show was the celebrity appearance by Joelle, who officially opened the exhibition, later treating visitors to a meet and greet, a live demonstration at a specially allocated Demo Zone, a signing session and a photo opportunity.

“The Health & Beauty Show 2014 was a big scale, well-organised event, and one of the best exhibitions that I have attended in the Kingdom,” commented Joelle on her participation in the show. “The level of media attention that the event, and my participation generated, is a clear indication of the growth and popularity of the health and beauty sector and I am pleased with the high rate of interest, and audience engagement—with 500 new images shared on my social media accounts—that was displayed by the attendees at Maison De Joelle's live demonstration of the latest hair and makeup tips.”

Engaging both local and international companies and organisations, the two-day Saudi Health & Beauty Forum covered topics relating to women's health and beauty in the Kingdom, including clinical and advanced treatments, best practices in salon management, cosmetology and beauty training and application tips. Speaking at the event were international delegates from Claude Maxime Mondial, Nutrilife, Wella, Medica Group, Yves Rocher and Dermagenetic.
