Dole Asia brings a fun Height Chart app to Qatar and the UAE with packaged bananas
DUBAI, UAE and DOHA, QATAR November 8, 2014 – Dole Asia Holdings, one of Asia’s largest producers of fresh fruit, has released an app to get kids even more excited about growing up! Any parent with young children knows – there is nothing quite as exciting as putting a new notch on the measuring tape. Dole is helping kids and parents share in that joy with a new mobile app and cool characters to watch them grow up.
Dole Key, Rilla, Teeny , Coco and Panzee help parents and kids keep track of how fast they grow by scanning the QR codes on stickers that come with specially-marked packages of bananas. Recording kids’ heights in a picture, children using the app will be welcomed by these cute characters as their height grows. Parents will be interested to see how their kids compare to national averages, and a beautiful full-size height chart is available at local retail outlets.
Every time a user scans a QR code or shares the picture on Facebook, he or she will also earn “Dole Coins” for winning exciting prizes from Dole Asia. The Dole Height Chart app is new to the UAE and Qatar, and a part of a series of apps that Dole Asia will be rolling out to better engage with consumers. It will launch in November.
"By launching the first of a pipeline of mobile apps, Dole Asia aims to present itself as a brand that continues to innovate and create exciting new reasons to purchase Dole products," said Daniel Fierce General Manager Dole ME, VP logistics Dole Asia. "It goes with the trend of consumers’ increasing usage of mobile apps."
The Dole Height Chart app is available in Apple iTunes and Google Play stores.
