June 16, 2014: Injazat Data Systems has launched a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) at the Al Ain City Municipality (AACM). This cost-effective solution is intended to benefit AACM’s customer service centres as well as VIPs such as executives and directors of key municipal departments. The VDI helps minimize the electrical consumption of devices as well as reduce maintenance and technical support requirements. It also enhances security, allows the client to easily access its desktop from anywhere, improves operational and service functions, offers 99.9 percent system availability, and ensures faster response – all at a lower cost.
“Technology is an important pillar in our vision of becoming an efficient, world-class municipality that follows the highest international standards in IT and promotes the concept of sustainability. This new feature will enable us to deliver unparalleled services to our customers and stakeholders wherever and whenever they need it, without interruptions or concerns over security and regulatory compliance. This project is a reflection of how Injazat continues to be a vital partner in transforming Al Ain City into an efficient and dynamic digital society that relies on technology for building a better and brighter future,” said Saif Al Sharhabi Al Dhaheri, Project Manager, Al Ain City Municipality.
“Virtualization has become an important enabler for e-governance over the past few years, which is why Injazat has endeavored to tap the boundless potential of this technology for the benefit of our major government partners such as the Al Ain City Municipality. Our first-of-its-kind VDI implementation will enable the Municipality to achieve greater service delivery,” added Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, Chief Executive Officer, Injazat Data Systems.
Injazat continues to explore and deliver innovative ICT solutions for its clients and lead its industry to the next level as it supports the goals of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 development plan.
