First service centre in the Middle East to receive this accolade
Dubai, February 23, 2014: Trading Enterprises’ Volvo service centre at Dubai Festival City has been certified as a one-hour stop (OHS) dealer by Volvo making it the first such facility in the Middle East and among only a handful of dealers in the world to be given this prestigious accolade.
As a result, customers will see a huge change in the way service and repair work is planned and executed at the facility. Customers will directly benefit from competitive pricing, higher quality and efficiency, shorter lead times, pre-determined check-in and check-out times and fewer visits to the service centre.
Mohammed Maktari, Managing Director, Trading Enterprises said: “I would like to thank all our teams who have meticulously planned the one-hour stop journey over the last six months. This recognition from Volvo gives us further motivation to succeed in an increasingly tough marketplace. The concept is based on lean thinking and is clearly focused on creating value to our customers which will further enhance our customer engagement levels.”
The OHS concept is based on the ‘lean’ principle applied in modern manufacturing. Instead of one technician working on the car, several technicians work together as a focused team like in a racing pit stop. All types of repair and maintenance jobs required will be performed in one work bay.
Anup Kumar, National Aftersales Manager said: “This initiative has helped us in achieving multi-skilled technicians. The OHS teams of technicians are now competent to perform all kinds of mechanical, electrical and body related repair jobs required on a vehicle. Our customers have really appreciated the new initiative as their vehicles are returned more quickly.”
Trading Enterprises is the exclusive distributor of Volvo cars in the UAE.
