Dubai-UAE: 07 October 2013 – Crayons Communications, a digital creative agency in Dubai, with a strong foothold and reputation in the digital space – today announced it has moved to its new artistically designed office within Dubai Media City.
The newly opened office may just be one street away from their previous office, but it's a world apart from the Crayons Communications that began operations eight years ago.
Crayons Communications has a corporate culture that encourages creativity and openness amongst its employees. As soon as you arrive at the office, you are greeted with a vintage park bench in the waiting area. The ambience is warm, fun, excitingly visual and vibrant. Frosted glass panel walls are covered with doodles of Facebook, twitter and Instagram comprising do's and don't's of the media, specially designed for Crayons by Urvi Zaheer from Doodle My Mind.
Arshad Zaheer, Chief Executive Officer, Crayons Communications said: “We wanted to make sure that the new office reflected the personality of the company as soon as someone walked through our doors. We believe that an inspiring environment can greatly aid the creative process and for us - since we have round-the-clock creative jobs - it definitely helps to have inspirational surroundings. Our office ecosystem has been designed to foster creativity and collaboration. If you can see our walls - they are covered with creative inspiration reflecting our core competencies in Digital Media. Also our giant perspex wall is a great tool for creative sessions and collaborative brainstorms.”
Senior management have individual cabins separated by transparent glass portions on which creative ideas and strategies are written and drawn with post-it size pictures of the work achievements. The conference room is unlike any other, with beanbags and comfortable seating so that everyone visiting for a meeting is immediately at ease.
Majority of the furniture and accessories handpicked by the management and employees are from stores such as Crate & Barrel, IKEA, ID Design and Pottery Barn, as opposed to traditional office furniture stores. Comfortable seating, open working stations, and decorative bean boxes around the office from Virgin Megastore add to the open communication format supported within the organisation.
Set up in Dubai in 2005, Crayons Communications started operations as a conventional advertising agency with just three people. By being flexible with the changing markets and focusing solely on their core competencies, the agency has transitioned to being one of the fastest growing digital agencies in the region, with an impressive client list. Crayons Communications has worked with clients across various industries: retail, electronics, motoring, health and beauty, cosmetics and many others.
