Great performance of the female riders at Losail International Circuit

Yesterday it took place the opening round of Qatar SuperBike Championship at Losail International Circuit with the best entry of participants of the story of the championship from 16 different nationalities. Among the riders, it is very remarkable the presence of three female riders that will join the Championship and showed that their level is very hight to compete with the rest of the riders.

A part from the German rider Nina Prinz, who has been participating in the championship  since 2011 and finished in third place last season, there are two new riders who participate in the 600cc category:  the Slovenian rider Manca Katrasnik and the Lebanese rider Badar Hanneh. These new riders are taking part in the Losail Asia Road Racing Championship with a Yamaha R6.

In the first race of the day, Nina Prinz had to very tough battle with the Qatari rider Mishal Al Naimi and finished in fourth position, but in the second race of the day, Prinz changed her strategy, trying not to push so hard at the beginning so Mishal couldn't pass her at the end and finished third position in the podium.
In the Losail Asian Road Racing Series, in the first race there was multiple crash and Manca Katrasnik was involved so she couldn't finished the race. For Badar Hanneh, she managed to finish the race and ended in second place in her category. In the second race of the day, Manca made a great race and finished in second place whereas Badar finished in fourth position.

Mr. Nasser Khalifa Al Attiya (QMMF President - LIC General Manager - FIM Vice President) was very happy at the end of the day in the opening season of this championship. 'There is a big number of participants and from different nationalities so this proves that this championship is growing and we are in the good line. There is a big challenge for all the participants to reach the podium as the competition is getting harder each time.  With the great performance today of the female riders, this will encourage them to fight and improve in the following rounds. I am convinced that more female riders will join us. Moreover, we are also succeeding in the women planning as we work with Mrs. Marielou Cruz who is part of the FIM Women Commission who she is pushing to have female riders taking part in our championship'.
