Embracing traditions at Mirdif City Centre this Ramadan

Tanoura folk dancers, Art of Calligraphy exhibition and decorative trimmings create a family-friendly and festive Ramadan

Dubai, UAE, 20 July 2013 – Those who are looking to embrace the spirit of Ramadan and experience some of its traditions can visit Mirdif City Centre for a range of family-friendly activities for people of all ages and backgrounds. Visitors will quickly feel the welcoming ambience with decorated Ramadan lanterns and hanging Arabic stars and crescent moons creating a festive mood.

A special Art of Calligraphy exhibition is currently on display in the Oasis Walk area until July 22nd, featuring special Ramadan-themed paintings from local artists supported by Glory Art Gallery. As a charitable gesture this Ramadan, the gallery has also committed to donating 20% of all sales from this collection to the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children.

Evenings will come alive as colourfully dressed Tanoura dancers perform the traditional ‘whirling' folk dance with four shows at: 8:30pm, 9:30pm, 10:30pm and 11:30pm in the Central Galleria.

Throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, Mirdif City Centre's is the ideal venue to spend Iftar or Sohour with family and friends, with a wide range of Arabic and International dining options. The mall is open to 1:00am throughout the week, with some restaurants open to 3:00am.
