Dubai-UAE: 03 July, 2013 – Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis, the integrated free zone technology park, received a delegation from the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) as part of a benchmarking initiative.
The meeting, which was held at the DSOA headquarters, included a presentation on the high-tech park's best practices in benchmarking, both internal among departments as well as external against other private and government authorities.
Haidar Ali, Vice-President, People and Business Excellence, DSOA, said: “We are proud of our achievements to date and will continue to strive for excellence through consistently observing and adopting best practices. Our interaction with entities such as the RTA comes as part of our commitment to sharing knowledge and enhancing collaboration with government and private sector enterprises in the UAE.”
In 2012, DSO won the prestigious Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme Award (DQAP). The distinction recognised the hi-tech park's three-year journey of excellence since the adoption of best practices that comply with the criteria mandated by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and the Dubai Quality Award.
A wholly-owned entity of the Dubai Government, Dubai Silicon Oasis operates as a free zone technology park for the semiconductor, microelectronic and other high technology-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and research and development facilities in the Middle East and Africa region.
