RAS AL KHAIMAH, 4 September 2017: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) announces its sponsorship of the 3rd annual Free Trade and Special Economic Zone Summit set to take place from 13 to 14 September 2017 in Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre, China.
The two-day event is one of the major international business summits, which is expected to gather over 300 senior executives from China’s most influential enterprises as well as representatives from global free zone and economic zone authorities.
“Thousands of Chinese companies are supplying goods and services to the rest of the world. What’s interesting is that 60% of China’s export to the Middle East goes through the United Arab Emirates (UAE) according to Thomson Reuters,” said Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, RAK Free Trade Zone and RAK Investment Authority. “We are very excited to meet the business community and industrialists at the summit and showcase how RAKEZ can support their businesses to grow and access the rest of the world. Today, more than 160 Chinese companies have chosen RAKEZ as a base to work, live and play from Ras Al Khaimah.”
Mr Jallad added: “What sets RAKEZ apart is its cost-effectiveness and customisation of solutions according to each business and industry need. We have an array of first-class customisable facilities and services offered in both free zone and non-free zone entity formations. Adding to that, RAKEZ is strategically located in Ras Al Khaimah, where the costs of living and operating a business are significantly lower than other major business cities. Plus, it is surrounded by substantial logistical hubs including seaports, international airports, and multi-lane supper highways, making Ras Al Khaimah an effective gateway to the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and the world.”
Liming Jin, General Manager of Li Jie International Trading FZC said: “Partnering with RAKEZ placed us in a very good position to serve the global market. RAKEZ constantly provides us with ideal business solutions that are cost-effective and tailored just for us.” Li Jie International Trading FZC is a purchasing company that deals with the procurement of non-ferrous metal residue, scrap and petrochemicals, operating from RAKEZ.
