Dubai, UAE, August 2, 2017: Tejar Dubai, an initiative of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently hosted a five-day workshop series held under the theme “Entrepreneurship and Innovation 360”, which provided aspiring entrepreneurs with practical advice and best practices in adopting innovative business strategies.
The workshops, hosted at Dubai Chamber’s premises, were attended by over 50 participants, while the sessions featured presentations from The Advisory Team, a Dubai-based business consultancy specialising in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Sessions covered a wide range of topics, including leadership strategies for startups, market testing, innovative customer service, sales, financing, and competition, along with other important aspects that entrepreneurs should take into account before bringing their products and services to market.
Essa Al Zaabi, Senior Vice-President, Institutional Support Sector, Dubai Chamber, and General Coordinator of Tejar Dubai, explained that the workshop series complements the Chamber’s efforts to provide young Emirati entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools they can use to launch successful businesses.
“Startups today are expected to continuously innovate and stand out to stay ahead of the competition. This workshop series provided an ideal opportunity for Dubai’s young entrepreneurs to think outside of the box and enhance their understanding of how innovation-focused strategies can be created and executed across a business,” said Al Zaabi.
The Tejar Dubai entrepreneurial development programme provides young Emirati entrepreneurs with access to an extensive development programme, including classroom learning, on-site training, mentoring and business advice, as well as networking opportunities with local and international business leaders, and access to investment capital.
