Customers in UAE can now send Express EMS shipments to South Africa and Uzbekistan at competitive prices
Dubai, July 20, 2016: Emirates Post Group has added South Africa and Uzbekistan to its Express EMS network, enabling UAE customers to send documents and other shipments to these two countries.
EPG's Express EMS service now covers 111 countries globally, providing customers a cost-effective and speedy channel to send shipments internationally.
Chief Commercial Officer of EPG, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, commented: “We are pleased to add South Africa and Uzbekistan to our Express EMS network. We are sure that our customers will find this a highly efficient channel for dispatching their documents and other mail items, due to our competitive pricing, speedy delivery and partnership with leading airlines.”
“We have been putting a lot of efforts into improving our Express EMS product through better pricing and shorter delivery timeframe, as part of a strategy to offer significant value addition to customers. We are pleased to say that our efforts are reflected in increased number of customers for Express EMS service at 118 post offices across the country,” Mr. Bin Karam added.
The rate for first 500 gm (half a kilo) to South Africa is AED 88, and additional AED 15 for every subsequent 500 gm. For Uzbekistan, the rate for first 500 gm is AED 108, and additional AED 20 for every subsequent 500 gm.
Express EMS is a premium product of the postal service that enables customers to send documents and parcels quickly through the postal network under the UPU (Universal Postal Union) system. EPG has been upgrading the product over the past few months, and the strategic tie-up with leading airlines, including Emirates and Etihad, has dramatically boosted the volumes in recent months.
