Abu Dhabi, UAE, June 26, 2016:   Mina Hamoodi has been appointed to the Board of the prestigious International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH), a Non-governmental organization in Official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO). She joins other global leading experts in the telemedicine and eHealth fields, areas which offer major potential to revolutionize the way we manage our health.

As the first Gulf national on this Board, demonstrating the leading role Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre is taking in promoting 24/7, phone-based healthcare solutions in the region, she will increasingly be able to:

  • set international standards and practices
  • share best practice, engage in knowledge transfer and explore collaboration opportunities to improve services
  • demonstrate her and the Centre's unique experience as a majority female managed healthcare technology company operating in the dynamic Arabian Gulf market to develop patient orientated options
  • apply rapidly emerging technology trends and developments in the UAE
