The Role 1. Financial Accounting & Reporting Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts. Prepare monthly management accounts and executive financial reports. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial reporting standards. 2. Manufacturing Finance & Inventory Accounting Oversee the financial accounting aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of all production-related transactions. Review and approve inventory, work-in-progress (WIP), production, and cost accounting journal entries. Ensure accurate accounting for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, production overheads, inventory adjustments, and manufacturing variances. Supervise the month-end manufacturing close and inventory reconciliation process. Review inventory valuation, provisions, slow-moving and obsolete inventory assessments, and Net Realizable Value (NRV) analysis. Work closely with the Cost Controller to ensure alignment between operational costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. Support product profitability analysis through reconciliation of costing data with financial results. Partner with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and manufacturing financial controls. 3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. Develop financial models and long-term business forecasts. Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts. Monitor financial performance and identify key business drivers. Prepare executive dashboards and KPI reports. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions. 4. Cash Flow & Treasury Prepare and monitor rolling cash flow forecasts. Optimize working capital performance. Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and cash conversion cycle. Review payment plans and liquidity requirements. Support banking relationships and treasury operations. Assist in financing and capital planning activities. 5. Internal Controls & Governance Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies. Develop and improve finance policies, SOPs, and approval workflows. Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation measures. Ensure proper segregation of duties and control effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes. 6. Audit, Tax & Compliance Coordinate annual external audits and statutory reporting requirements. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and other applicable regulations. Support the preparation and submission of tax-related filings. Ensure timely resolution of audit observations. 7. ERP & Process Improvement Lead finance-related ERP enhancements and process optimization initiatives. Improve automation and reporting capabilities. Ensure integrity of financial data within the ERP system. Standardize finance processes and reduce manual activities. Collaborate with IT and business users on system improvements. 8. Business Partnering Act as the finance business partner to operational and commercial departments. Provide financial analysis to support pricing, profitability, investment, and operational decisions. Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and business cases. Support commercial negotiations with financial analysis where required. Deliver actionable insights to improve business performance. 9. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Establish clear objectives and performance expectations. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Review and enhance team capabilities through coaching and training.
Requirements Education & Professional Qualifications - Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. - Masters Degree or MBA is an advantage. - Professional certification is mandatory candidates must hold at least one of the following: - CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Preferred - CPA (Certified Public Accountant) - ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Experience - Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior leadership role. - Mandatory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within an industrial, engineering, automotive, or similar manufacturing organization. - Strong experience in financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, costing, and internal controls. - Proven experience in manufacturing finance and inventory valuation. - Experience managing external audits, tax advisors, and statutory compliance. - Experience with ERP systems; Odoo experience is an advantage.
