The Role Position: Employee Relations Officer Location: UAE Industry: Construction (Preferred) Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Officer to manage employee relations for a large, multicultural workforce within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive work environment by handling employee welfare, engagement initiatives, grievance resolution, disciplinary matters, and effective communication across corporate offices, labor camps, and project sites. Key Responsibilities • Manage day-to-day employee relations activities for a large and diverse workforce. • Address employee grievances, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate resolutions in line with UAE Labour Law and company policies. • Coordinate disciplinary procedures, including documentation, hearings, and follow-up actions. • Plan and execute employee engagement and welfare initiatives to enhance morale and employee satisfaction. • Conduct regular labor camp and project site visits to assess employee welfare, working conditions, and address workforce concerns. • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee communication, feedback, and conflict resolution. • Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and management to promote a positive workplace culture. • Ensure timely resolution of employee issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. • Prepare employee relations reports, case records, and management updates. • Support HR initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and UAE labor regulations.
Requirements • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. • 2–6 years of experience in Employee Relations, preferably within the construction industry. • Proven experience managing large, multicultural workforces. • Strong knowledge of employee welfare, engagement, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and employee communication. • Hands-on experience conducting labor camp visits and construction site visits. • Sound understanding of UAE Labour Law and HR best practices. • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with employees across all organizational levels. • Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
