The Role Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Managing QS / Commercial Manager to join their team in Dubai to work on a new development of VVIP Villas. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Managing QS / Commercial Manager with good knowledge in large scale civil construction projects in the UAE and must have worked for a Tier 1 Main Contracting Company previously. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract position as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting. There is an option to transfer to staff after 6 months should it suit all parties. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all commercial aspects of the project and ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize project profitability. Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial objectives are met. Manage claims and variations to contracts to minimize risks and disputes. Provide commercial advice and support to project teams and senior management. Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify areas for cost?saving and improvement. Ensure compliance with all commercial, contractual, and legal requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Requirements Managing QS / Commercial Manager Experience: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. Proven experience of at least 10 years with 2-3 as a Managing QS or Commercial Manager in the Civil Contracting industry. Background of working in recognised and Tier 1 Main Contractor companies. In?depth knowledge of commercial management principles and practices. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent analytical and problem?solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems.
