Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspension systems, and exhaust systems. ? Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized tools and equipment. ? Troubleshoot engine, electrical, and performance-related issues. ? Perform vehicle servicing according to manufacturer specifications. ? Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper functionality. ? Maintain accurate service and repair records. ? Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and regulations. ? Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. ? Assist in identifying spare parts requirements and report inventory needs. ? Support other workshop activities as required.
Requirements ? Diploma, Technical Certificate, or Vocational Training in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. ? Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic, Vehicle Mechanic, or Automotive Technician. ? Experience working on passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles, or fleet vehicles. ? Experience with diagnostic equipment and repair tools. Knowledge & Skills ? Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems. ? Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair guides. ? Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting. ? Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices. ? Understanding of workplace health and safety standards. ? Good problem-solving and analytical skills. ? Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ? Basic computer skills for service reporting and diagnostics.
