The Role One of the leading Oil & Gas Engineering Design and manufacturing company in Dubai is looking for an Engineering Manager. Purpose & Scope: To ensure that all projects are accurately budgeted, planned, executed and delivered on time and in line with company procedures and guidelines, meeting customer requirements. Projects require this individual to engage in a multi-discipline engineering scope of work. Work closely with Head of Engineering involving in all technical elements of design, engineering, proposal preparation and projects. Responsibilities & Duties : Engineering + Commercial Thinking Support the estimation and proposal process for new opportunities Break down client requirements and translate them into practical, buildable solutions Contribute to pricing strategies by understanding materials, fabrication, and risk Identify gaps, assumptions, and potential risks early Apply value-engineering principles Review project progress, cost and lesson learned Produce the technical and commercial input for all enquiries with traceable costing, ensuring that adequate provision is made to cover all project risks. Design Interpretation & Problem Solving Read and interpret technical drawings (GA, fabrication, assembly, electrical where relevant) Use first-principles thinking to solve engineering challenges Review electrical documentation in-line with international, project and industry specific specifications Project Management Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the activities and operations of a multidiscipline engineering team Plan, schedule and monitor project progress as per the agreed project schedule, ensuring on time project delivery, meeting customer expectations. Subcontractor coordination to execute the project in line with project scope and best industry codes and standards, within target schedule, at the budget cost and project quality parameters, maximizing capacity utilization and minimizing waste. Technical Coordination Work with internal teams (design, production, projects) to validate feasibility Support review of drawings, documentation, and technical submissions Assist in aligning design intent with practical manufacturing and installation realities Conduct client site visits and surveys Provide technical support to the commissioning teams Provide technical support / remote troubleshooting on existing installations
Requirements a) Academic Qualification: Graduate / Bachelors Degree in Engineer or equivalent Project Management qualification preferred b) Experience & Background: Minimum of 8 years of experience in production, operations, project management, or construction in modular and structural fabrication industry in senior position including overseas experience. 5 years at leadership level as Project Manager or equivalent is preferred Experience with structured FEED / EPC Contractors is preferred Familiar with the Engineering Standards such as API, NFPA, ASME, BS / EN etc. Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving complex engineering problems c) Technical Requirements: Thorough understanding of contract administration, documentation and EPCM practices Project management Project methodology Change management Value engineering Manufacturing, modular and structural fabrication, construction and production Supply chain processes Computer Skills (Microsoft, Microsoft, MS Project / Primavera) English Proficiency
