Our client is an established international school that has been awarded an "Outstanding" rating by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), reflecting its commitment to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and outstanding educational outcomes. The school is seeking an enthusiastic professional who is dedicated to helping students identify their strengths, explore career pathways, and successfully navigate the university admissions process. The Role As the Career & University Guidance Counsellor, you will play a key role in preparing students for life beyond school by providing personalised guidance on university admissions, career planning, scholarship opportunities, and future pathways. You will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and university representatives to ensure every student is equipped to make informed decisions about their future. Key Responsibilities • Provide individual and group career and university guidance to secondary students. • Support students throughout the university application process, including personal statements, applications, references, and interview preparation. • Deliver career education workshops and university information sessions. • Develop and maintain relationships with universities and higher education institutions worldwide. • Organise university fairs, careers events, and parent information evenings. • Advise students on scholarships, admissions requirements, and career pathways. • Maintain accurate records of student applications and destinations. • Work collaboratively with school leadership, teachers, and families to support student aspirations. Requirements The successful candidate will possess: • Bachelor of Education with a focus on Career Guidance, or • A recognised postgraduate qualification in Career & University Guidance. • A minimum of two years verified experience working as a Career & University Guidance Counsellor. • Excellent knowledge of international university admissions processes. • Outstanding communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. • The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and university representatives. • A proactive, student-centred approach with excellent attention to detail. • International school experience is highly desirable.
