The Role About the Role: We are seeking a competent and motivated Site Engineer (Civil Works) to oversee and manage civil construction activities on site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining quality and safety standards on site. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities including earthworks, piling, concrete works, formwork, rebar installation, and marine structures • Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules • Interpret and communicate technical drawings and specifications to site supervisors and foremen • Monitor site progress and prepare daily and weekly reports for project management • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams for smooth execution of work • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and compliance with project requirements • Assist in preparing method statements, risk assessments, and work procedures • Monitor material deliveries, storage, and usage on site; request materials as required • Liaise with surveyors for setting out, leveling, and as-built surveys • Ensure all works comply with HSE regulations; enforce safety protocols and PPE compliance • Maintain accurate site records including daily logs, work progress, manpower, and equipment usage • Assist in preparing and submitting inspection requests and closing out snags and non-conformances • Resolve technical issues on site in coordination with senior engineers and project manager • Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions • Support project close-out including as-built drawings, handover documentation, and final inspections
Requirements Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Site Engineer in construction, marine, or infrastructure projects • Experience with piling, excavation, concrete works, quay wall construction, or marine civil works is highly preferred • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and quality standards • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools • Knowledge of international codes and standards (BS, ASTM, ACI) • Valid safety certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred • Fluency in English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus Required Skills: • Strong supervision and coordination abilities • Problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills • Good communication and report writing skills • Attention to detail for quality and safety compliance • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Team collaboration with site staff, subcontractors, and management
