The Role
Accounting & Tax Manager – Qatar CLIENT Linum Consult’s client is a major international company works within the energy sector. They are seeking an Accounting & Tax Manager with significant consolidation experience to be based in their office in Doha, Qatar. RESPONSIBILITIES • Establishing and maintaining accounting and administrative policies, processes, and systems in line with the company’s standards, and in close compliance to relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards • Managing all aspects of accounting; including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, banks, payroll, inventory, fixed assets • Maintaining General Ledger accounts and monthly account reconciliations • Preparing statutory financial statements and related disclosures under local accounting standards, and preparing IFRS financial reporting for group consolidation purposes • Establishing and maintaining a robust compliance framework, as well as maintaining and upgrading key business controls • Being responsible for all tax activities with special emphasis on tax compliance, tax risk management, and tax reporting in effective coordination with the Group Tax department

Requirements
PROFILE • Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferably with an MBA or master’s in Finance. Professional qualification such as CFA, CMA, CA, or ACCA • At least 10 years’ experience in accounting, tax, and consolidations with 1-2 years in a managerial role • Must have worked in a sector with common international holdings and international structures, or a Qatari-based company with several subsidiaries overseas carrying out cross-border transactions • Very strong understanding of International GAAP, Qatari Tax, Qatari VAT, IFRS • Previous experience of market-leading ERP systems, Financial Management and consolidation systems (Oracle preferably) • Big4 experience in the field of Audit, Tax, and Assurance would be advantageous • Fluent in spoken and written English, with any Arabic language skills an advantage
