The Role The Senior Project Manager Connections (MEP) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing fall utility and infrastructure connections related to MEP systems for development projects. The role ensures timely acquisition, approval, execution, and commissioning of utility connections, including electricity, water, sewerage, drainage, telecommunications, gas, and district cooling services, while coordinating with authorities, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all utility connection activities for multiple projects from design stage through project handover. Liaise with relevant authorities and service providers to obtain approvals, NOCs, permits, and utility| connection agreements. Coordinate with MEP consultants, contractors, and utility agencies to ensure compliance with authority requirements. Monitor project schedules and ensure utility connections are delivered in line with project milestones. Review MEP designs and infrastructure requirements to ensure compatibility with utility providers standards, Manage utility application submissions, technical approvals, inspections, and commissioning processes. Identify potential risks related to utility connections and develop mitigation plans. Coordinate with development, construction, design, procurement, and finance teams regarding utility requirements and costs. Track budgets associated with utility connections and infrastructure works. Attend meetings with utility authorities, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. Ensure all documentation, permits, approvals, and records are properly maintained. Prepare periodic progress reports and provide updates to senior management. Support project handover activities and ensure successful commissioning of all utility services.
Requirements Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline. Masters Degree or Project Management certification (PMP) is an advantage. Professional engineering registration is preferred Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP project management. Minimum 4 years in a senior management role handling utility and infrastructure connections. Strong experience with utility authorities and service providers in the UAE.
