The Role Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting safety inspections, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. Key Responsibilities • Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures. • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. • Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and client requirements. • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions. • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training for site personnel. • Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety standards. • Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures. • Maintain HSE documentation, records, permits, and compliance reports. • Coordinate emergency response procedures and conduct emergency drills. • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. • NEBOSH Certification (Mandatory). • IOSH Certification (Mandatory). • Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in the construction industry. • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and international safety standards. • Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training. • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment. Preferred • Previous experience on large-scale construction projects in the UAE. • Immediate availability or short notice period.
