The Role • Core Technical Implementation Experience: * Strong knowledge of fraud detection platforms, transaction monitoring systems, and integration with core banking applications. * Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks (Qatar Central Bank, FATF, Basel). * Ability to manage vendors, technical teams, and ensure alignment between business and IT requirements. •Project Management Skills: * Certified PMP or PRINCE2 or equivalent, with a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget. *Skilled in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication. *Proven expertise in creating project charters, detailed plans, risk registers, and status reports. Must have managed budgets exceeding $500k. •Banking & Vendor Management Acumen: *Solid understanding of banking processes (retail, corporate, digital) and the associated technology stack. *Strong vendor management skills, with experience leading third-party solution providers and system integrators to deliver on contractual obligations.
Requirements The successful candidate must be a technically proficient project manager with a demonstrable track record in delivering fraud/AML solutions in a banking context. 1) Relevant Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years in IT project management, with at least 5 years focused on fraud monitoring, AML, or enterprise financial crime prevention solutions. Candidate should demonstrate hands on involvement in similar implementations, preferably within leading banks or financial institutions. 2) Prior experience working in the GCC/Qatar market is highly preferred. 3) Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical teams and business leaders. 4) Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is an advantage.
