The Role The Head of Data Partnerships will scale data vendor strategy across the worlds leading financial data subscription providers. This is a senior, hands-on role structuring and negotiating partnerships that will enable resale / redistribution of licensed data through the platform and tri-lateral licensing models where customers already have a direct subscription and our client supports integration and permitted use ("bring-your-own-license"). Client Details This is a confidential search - our client is a Data Provider in the Investment space. Name of the client will be shared once the shortlisted for interviews and a NDA will need to be signed. Description * Own Data Vendor Partnerships End-to-End * Identify, prioritize, and onboard data vendors aligned with product strategy and customer demand * Build and manage senior relationships across vendor business development, commercial, product, and legal team. * Develop multi-year partnership roadmaps and renewal strategies * Lead Data Resale / Redistribution Partnerships * Structure and negotiate agreements that enable us to license and resell vendor datasets through our SaaS platform * Define pricing and packaging approaches (including platform bundling, usage-based pricing, and tiered access) * Build Tri-Lateral / BYOL Licensing Programs * Design standardized models for customers who already license data directly from vendors * Support Customer Deployments and Enterprise Sales * Serve as the internal expert on vendor licensing models, permitted use, and commercial constraints * Partner with Sales and Customer Success on enterprise deals that involve licensed datasets * Join customer calls to clarify licensing pathways, reduce risk, and accelerate contracting Job Offer This is a unique opportunity to build and structure a data business from scratch with a reputable firm.
Requirements · 5-10+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or commercial strategy · Direct experience with one or more of: 1 Financial data vendors (FactSet, Bloomberg, LSEG, Morningstar, Albourne, Preqin, etc.) 2 Data platforms, Fintech SaaS, or enterprise analytics products Proven track record of: 1 Negotiating complex licensing agreements 2 Building scalable vendor partnership programs 3 Supporting enterprise customers with licensing / contracting workflows Strong understanding of: 1 Resale vs redistribution vs BYOL licensing models 2 Entitlements, permitted use, and compliance obligations 3 Enterprise procurement and contracting cycles
