Joyalukkas Group Executive Director John Paul Alukkas lauded Young NRI Entrepreneur of the Year at Kairali TV Awards 2016

Dubai, UAE, December 25, 2016:  In a star-studded celebration of the Keralite expatriate’s entrepreneurial spirit, Joyalukkas Group Executive Director John Paul Alukkas received the Young NRI Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2016 from Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala Mr. Prinarayi Vijayan, Malayalam Communications Ltd. Chairman & Malayalam Cine Super Star Mr. Mamooty, and other dignitaries and VIPs, the Kairali TV NRI entrepreneur Awards was held on 23rd December at Hotel Steigenberger Dubai. 

From a very young age, John Paul Alukkas found inspiration to enter the challenging business world from stories his father, legendary entrepreneur and Joyalukkas Chairman & MD Joy Alukkas, would tell him about the day to day operations of what has been dubbed the world’s favourite jeweller. John Paul credits many of the innovations and best business practices he has implemented across the 11 countries the Group operates in to lessons he has learned by example from his father. 

“Meeting suppliers and customers face to face, observing firsthand what goes on in the showrooms on a daily basis, these are just a few of the things I learned from my father that I continue to practice today,” said John Paul Alukkas, Joyalukkas Group Executive Director. “When you are following the footsteps of a man everyone says has the Midas touch, it can be a daunting prospect. But I also learned from him that if you do things from the heart, if you offer sincere, honest and consistently excellent service, you are already a success.

The year has been a highly successful one for John Paul Alukkas and the Joyalukkas Group, seeing his dream of expanding the brand to achieve a truly global presence coming to furition with the opening of two branches in the USA just months apart. A third US showroom is already in the works for an early first quarter 2017 opening. John Paul is also looking into new and untapped markets as well as enhancing the offerings at the Group’s current 120 showrooms in 11 countries.
