The Role The FF&E Furniture Specialist is responsible for the planning, specification, procurement, estimation, and coordination of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for interior design and architectural projects. This role involves working closely with design teams, vendors, project managers, and clients to ensure that all FF&E items align with project aesthetics, budgets, timelines, and functional requirements. Key responsibilities: - collaborate with interior designers and architects to develop FF&E concepts and selections based on design intent - interpret furniture specifications and FF&E schedules provided by design teams - source and select furniture, lighting, artwork, accessories, and related FF&E items - identify, evaluate, and manage furniture vendors and manufacturers (local and international) - prepare and maintain FF&E budgets, schedules, and specifications - issue RFQs/RFPs and purchase orders, with a focus on furniture categories - negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and logistics with suppliers - develop and manage procurement schedules aligned with project timelines - track orders, shipments, and deliveries, ensuring timely execution - coordinate with logistics providers and oversee delivery and installation on site - review samples, shop drawings, and ensure quality control standards are met - manage vendor relationships and resolve issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies - conduct site visits to ensure installation aligns with project requirements - maintain accurate documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced professional with a strong background in FF&E procurement and furniture-focused projects. Requirements: - minimum 5–10 years of experience in FF&E procurement, specification, and coordination - strong experience in furniture sourcing, materials, and suppliers - proven experience managing FF&E budgets, procurement processes, and timelines - experience with international sourcing and logistics is highly preferred - strong negotiation and vendor management skills - good understanding of design intent and ability to collaborate with design teams - proficiency in microsoft office and design tools such as autocad, revit, or sketchup - excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills - ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
