The Role We are seeking a skilled Senior Linux System Administrator to oversee and manage Linux Server environments, RHEL, Ubuntu, Centos, and the running systems and services within Linux platform. • System Installation and Configuration: Set up and configure Linux servers, operating systems, and associated software. • Performance Monitoring and optimization: Continuously monitor system performance to ensure optimal uptime, efficiency, and resource utilization. • Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, conduct security audits, and respond to potential threats. • Systems Capacity planning and provisioning: maintain RHEL system resources and perform optimization and performance tuning practices • User and Access Management: Create, manage, and remove user accounts and set appropriate permissions to control access to system resources. • Backup and Recovery: Perform regular system backups and develop disaster recovery plans to protect critical data. • Patch and Update Management: Apply operating system and software patches and updates to fix vulnerabilities and improve functionality. • Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, providing technical support to users and other IT teams. • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts in languages like Bash, Python, or Perl to automate routine tasks and enhance efficiency.
Requirements • Strong understanding of Redhat Linux 7,8 and 9. • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP). • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python). • Proficiency with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet. • Handson experience with of virtualization and cloud computing platforms (VMware Vsphere, Nutanix AHV and MS Azure Cloud) • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with other IT teams. • Incident & Change Management: Follow ITIL best practices for incident response, change management, and service request handling.
