The Role We are seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Inspection Engineer to join our dynamic consultancy team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and safety of construction projects through rigorous inspection and compliance with engineering standards and regulations. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough inspections of civil and structural components at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. - Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and project documentation to identify potential issues and ensure alignment with construction progress. - Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and design teams to address any non-conformities and recommend corrective actions. - Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for improvements. - Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. - Assist in quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. - Stay updated with the latest building codes, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to civil and structural engineering.
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. - 10 years experience in civil/structural inspection within consultancy or construction sectors, preferably in the UAE or Middle East region. - Strong knowledge of local building codes, standards, and construction methodologies. - Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection assignments efficiently. - Professional certification or licensure in civil or structural engineering is desirable. - Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and adapt to project scheduling requirements.
