The Role Role Overview This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing consultancy team supporting the delivery of a high-profile hospitality project in Abu Dhabi. We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong post-contract experience to support the commercial management of a 5-star hotel refurbishment project. The role will focus on post-contract commercial activities, including cost control, valuations, variations, and reporting, within a structured client-side / PMC environment. There may be some involvement in early-stage commercial activities; however, this is not a prerequisite, and the role is primarily focused on post-contract delivery. Key Responsibilities Post-Contract Commercial Management (Primary Focus) • Manage interim valuations and payment certifications • Assess and manage variations and change orders • Prepare and maintain cost reports and forecasts • Monitor project costs against approved budgets • Ensure accurate and timely commercial reporting Contract Administration • Administer contracts in line with project and client requirements • Monitor contractor performance and contractual compliance • Maintain records of contractual correspondence Commercial & Risk Management • Support claims assessment and dispute avoidance/resolution • Identify commercial risks and propose mitigation strategies • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations Stakeholder Coordination • Work closely with consultants, contractors, and client representatives • Provide commercial input to project discussions and decision-making • Support effective communication across project teams
Requirements Candidate Requirements • Minimum 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying • Strong experience within a consultancy / PMC environment • Experience working on hotel or hotel refurbishment projects • Proven post-contract experience, including: • Payments / valuations • Variations Cost reporting • Experience on building projects (hospitality or refurbishment preferred) • Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial processes • Good knowledge of FIDIC contracts • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
