We are partnering with a forward-thinking technology organization in Abu Dhabi that is shaping the future of artificial intelligence and digital innovation. The company develops secure, scalable solutions used by enterprises and government entities across the region. This is an opportunity to join a high-impact engineering team working on advanced platforms that combine AI, data, and cloud technologies to solve real-world business challenges. Role Overview As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the core systems that power AI-driven products. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and frontend teams to ensure seamless integration and high system performance. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs supporting AI-based applications • Design scalable system architecture to handle large data volumes and real-time processing • Improve database structures and data pipelines for optimal performance • Implement secure access controls and data protection mechanisms • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy AI models into production • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and uptime • Contribute to clean, maintainable, and well-documented codebases • Support continuous improvement of backend processes and infrastructure

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria: • UAE National (with Family Book) • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • Minimum 8 years of backend development experience • Strong proficiency in Python and/or Node.js • Experience building APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC) • Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience working with microservices architecture and distributed systems • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability Preferred Skills (Advantageous) • Experience with event-driven systems and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) • Exposure to AI/ML environments, including LLMs or vector databases • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform) • Familiarity with MLOps or AI deployment workflows
