The Role Our client is a global construction company who has been operating in the Middle East for over 50 years. During this time that have delivered some of the largest projects in the world, over multiple sectors, including Hospitality & Tourism, Oil & Gas, and Real Estate. They are currently looking for a Project Director to join them on a project in the UAE. You Will Be Responsible For: • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the successful delivery of complex data centre projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, contractual obligations, and company goals. • Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring key milestones, quality standards, budgets, and timelines are achieved. • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including construction, commercial, design, planning, procurement, and HSEQ functions, fostering a high-performance culture. • Act as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders, managing relationships, expectations, and communication to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. • Take full responsibility for project governance, commercial performance, risk management, and compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. • Monitor project progress and proactively address any deviations, challenges, or risks through timely decision-making and corrective action in collaboration with senior leadership. • Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the project, ensuring they are embedded into all aspects of planning and delivery. • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices across project delivery, contributing to organisational learning and future project optimisation.
Requirements You Will Need: • Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field. • 15+ years of experience in large-scale construction projects, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. • Proven experience managing complex projects and teams in the UAE. • Excellent project management skills, with experience in delivering projects on time and within budget. • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
