The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our organization by preparing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure maintenance and construction projects, analyzing data, and contributing to the overall success of our bidding process. 1) Develop comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects of varying sizes and complexities 2) Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates 3) Expert in CCS Candy 4) Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues 5) Prepare and maintain a database of previous bids and current cost information 6) Conduct quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost breakdowns 7) Identify potential risks and opportunities within project estimates 8) Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness 9) Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new estimating techniques 10) Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required 11) Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations
Requirements 1) Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Survey 2) Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating 3) Proficiency in estimating software such as CCS Candy, or similar tools 4) Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail 5) Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards 6) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel 7) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings 8) Experience in cost analysis and budget preparation 9) Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE 10) Familiarity with MENA region construction practices and market trends 11) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 12) Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines 13) Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification preferred would be advantage 14) Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
