The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to join our EPC company in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services to support our engineering, procurement, and construction projects, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and adhering to industry standards. Responsibilities: - Develop and manage procurement strategies to meet project requirements and company goals. - Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance criteria. - Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation. - Coordinate with engineering, project management, and quality assurance teams to understand material specifications and timelines. - Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply chain issues promptly. - Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and local regulations. - Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports for management review. - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery schedules.
Requirements - Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement within an EPC or construction environment. - Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers. - Proficient in procurement software and MS Office applications. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet project deadlines. - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
