March 9, 2015. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: H.E. Sultan Bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and President of the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), the government authority charged with regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of Dubai's maritime sector, received the ‘Contribution to the maritime sector' award during this year's edition of the World of Yachts and Boats Recognition Awards for Excellence. The awards was held on the sidelines of the Dubai International Boat Show 2015, the largest, most important and most established event of its kind in the region and one of the fastest growing leisure marine industry exhibitions in the world, which concluded recently at the Dubai International Marine Club Mina Seyahi.


The recognition represents a token of appreciation from the ‘World of Yachts,' a leading media group that has helped in the emergence and development of recreational boats sector in Dubai since the very beginning. This award gives recognition to the continuing commitment and efforts of the Authority to position Dubai as a premier maritime centre. H.E. Bin Sulayem was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the leisure marine industry and his efforts towards positioning Dubai as a world class global maritime hub.
