November 18, 2014. Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), the government authority charged with regulating, coordinating and supervising all aspects of Dubai's maritime sector, concludes today (Tuesday, November 18, 2014) its participation at the 7th Annual Middle East ShipTech Conference 2014. The two-day specialized event designed to explore and identify the take away strategies for the Middle East and how the region can best apply technology to maximise energy efficiency, fuel economy and safety in shipping is being held at The Address Hotel, Dubai Mall.
During the conference, DMCA showcased Dubai's Maritime Sector Strategy which serves as a key pillar to promote the industry's regional and international competitiveness. The Authority also discussed the implementation process of the initiatives related to the development of maritime services and optimization of the local infrastructure in order to build a revived and secure maritime sector that can drive Dubai's transformation into a first-class international maritime hub.
