Dubai, November 8, 2014: Automotive luxury brand Lincoln is lending its support to the *Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival® as presenting sponsor of the event’s main gigs, joining the festival’s other key sponsors MasterCard, Bank of Sharjah and Al Bustan Rotana. The announcement comes as blue chip corporations continue their support of the UAE’s live entertainment industry which has grown noticeably to become a significant contributor to the local economy.
“We welcome Lincoln to our group of corporate sponsors and we thank them for their support, long-term commitment and faith in this festival,” said Anthony Younes, Co-Founder and CEO of Chillout Productions, which produces the annual Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival®. “Corporate sponsorships are vital for our industry as their funding helps producers attract globally acclaimed artists to the UAE’s stages while ensuring that ticket prices are kept to the lowest levels possible.”
“The Dubai Jazz Festival delivers relevant music for discriminating musical tastes,” said Paul Anderson, Marketing director for Ford and Lincoln in the Middle East & North Africa. “Lincoln, as the signature sponsor of the Jazz festival, is a natural fit as a brand also designed to meet the discriminating tastes of luxury car buyers. We are pleased to demonstrate our commitment to this successful platform which conforms so well with the brand’s passion for the arts, design, and unique lifestyles, while giving us the opportunity to engage with its audiences with whom we celebrate these truly unique moments.”
Being the UAE’s longest-running live music event, the Dubai Jazz Festival has been held in Dubai every year since 2003, traditionally enjoying the support of international and local brands including Philips, Cadillac, Visa, Cacharel and of course the Emirates Group through Emirates Airline and Skywards who have been title sponsors since 2007. The popularity of the festival, which has drawn in more than 300,000 fans from the UAE and the GCC region during its 12 years of existence, has also attracted the interest of governmental bodies and institutions such as Dubai Tourism, Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Calendar and Dubai Media City.
Under this year’s theme ‘A Unique Take On Music, Art and Lifestyle,’ the event combines a music fusion that transcends genres and generations while offering its diverse audiences a distinctive blend of sound, fun and art all packed in one enthralling venue.
The recently announced line up of well renowned artists at the upcoming festival has received an overwhelming response from the music followers and fans around the Emirates. Popular performers, James Blunt and Christina Perri will be opening the jazz festival on Wednesday, February 25th and the remarkable musical festival will be closed on Friday, February 27th by legendary artists Esperanza Spalding and John Legend.
Chill Out productions, the organizers of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival are enthusiastically looking forward to reveal the name of an A- list celebrity performer in mid-November. More surprises to follow in the coming weeks.
Under its new concept, the festival will maintain its entertaining atmosphere with celebrated list of performers and elegant comfortable set up for all from Fan Pit and Golden Circle, to Regular Standing and the high-end VIP Spirit (dedicated to sponsors, corporates and VIP individuals). The wonderful ambiance is summed up by F&B village and Arts and Crafts exposition. Tickets are on sale exclusively from Ticketmaster on www.Ticketmaster.ae or 800-TM-UAE.
