Global Village Launches First Ever Mascot – Globo – To Become Park's Colourful International Family Ambassador

Globo To Tour Malls, Greet Visitors and Interact With Children
Dubai, September, 2014: Global Village, the region’s most popular outdoor family entertainment attraction, has launched a colourful, engaging and exciting new mascot called Globo as it gears up to the opening of its 19th Season.
The new Mascot is set to become a firm favourite with children and families becoming the “face” of Global Village in the years ahead. Reflecting the international face of the park Globo will feature in a variety of guises to showcase Arabic, South Asian, Far-East and Western personas and capture the global essence of a visitor attraction that hosted over 5 million guests last season.
Designed to look like a fun and friendly character, the new mascot’s distinctive look and hairstyle has been developed from multi-coloured Global Village logo.
The development of Globo demonstrates the growing strength of Global Village as a regional destination of choice and reflects its huge popularity among families of every background and nationality who flock to the park every season. Visitors to the park will find thatGlobo will be a regular feature of life at Global Village this season.
The colourful mascot will be making his own stage performances, greeting youngsters and families for photo opportunities, supporting pavilions activities and for some lucky families even having the chance to have Globo as their special guide and guest for an evening in the park.
Commenting on the launch of the new mascot, Global Village Chief Operating Office Ahmed Hussain Bin Essasaid: “We have created Globo to help enhance the promotion of the park as we continue to grow and develop by reinforcing the fun and family focus that Global Village has to offer.
“The fun, friendly and engaging personality that Globo has perfectly aligns with the philosophy that has driven and dictated the development of Global Village over 19 years. We are confident that our new mascot will quickly become a firm favourite with visitors young and old when they visit the park and get a chance to meet him and engage with him.”
Globo will also become an important part of the marketing campaign for Global Village during Season 19 that starts on 6th November. In addition to being seen all around the site – Globo will be touring shopping malls, schools and other locations to promote Global Village and a fantastic array of new attractions and offers that will be announced soon.
Both the name and physical appearance of Globo has been created to ensure that it represents the global nature of the park and it can become a character that is readily identified by the public and linked to Global Village whenever he appears.Globo was created in partnership with the Fanar Production, the production house that specializes in the production of animated cartoons like ShaabiatAlcartoon& Mansour.
