ESET Honoured for 'Best Channel Initiative' at VAR Arabia ICT Awards 2014

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 23 June, 2014 - ESET®, the global leader in proactive digital protection, has received the award for having the 'Best Channel Initiative' at the VAR Arabia ICT Awards 2014. The company was recognized for supporting and incentivising its channel through its well structured channel partner program and regularly conducted promotions and rewards.

ESET is unfailing in its commitment to its partners and every campaign, promotion and program that we run is strategically devised to not only drive sales, but also strengthen our relationship with the channel. We have already had a great deal of success with these initiatives in the first half of 2014 and have a number of exciting plans in store for the rest of the year as well,” said Elham Alizadeh, Channel Marketing Manager.

Early this year, ESET Middle East unveiled its partner program which was tailored for the region with the aim to empower the company's reseller and system integrator partners to help them secure greater market shares in both, the business and home user segments. The program enabled partners to enjoy benefits that include free sales and technical trainings, discounts, demo license keys as well as pre-sales and post-sales support.

The judging panel also commended ESET for its campaigns such as 'Hit the Goal and Get the Gold' and 'Reseller Rebate' for its reseller and retail partners respectively. For these offers, during a month and a half long period, the company's resellers were given the chance to earn gold rewards for achieving sales goals while its retail partners were awarded cash-backs. Based on the success of the original campaign, the company conducted its Gold promotion for a second time.

Currently, ESET is running an innovative POC program which rewards partners who manage to secure POCs for the company. “This program recognised the efforts that partners make during the critical pre-sales and sales periods. We feel that winning a POC is a milestone in a successful bid and want partners to know that their work during this phase is being recognized and appreciated by us,” said Elham.

The VAR Arabia ICT Awards were held on the 2 June, 2014 and were attended by professionals from the region's IT community.
