Jashanmal to launch Eco Shopping Initiative to celebrate ‘UAE Green Festival'

Dubai, UAE, 13 April, 2014: The Jashanmal Home Store has announced its second eco shopping initiative to woo environmentally conscious shoppers in the UAE.

Traditionally held under the banner of 'Live, Learn and Have Fun in a Low Carbon World' as part of the UAE Green Festival, the initiative is scheduled to run for a one-month period from 16 March 2014 across the seven Emirates.

Jashanmal's strategy will allow customers the unique opportunity to sample and purchase a range of eco-friendly products ranging from re-usable modern kitchenware to home ware, cookware and other energy-conserving appliances.

Additionally, customers can look forward to special promotions and deals on select goods as part of the festival which will run across 8 stores in the UAE.

The UAE Green Festival is an annual month-long celebration of sustainability and promotes five core areas - Green Shopping, Green Stay, Green Menu, Eco Art and Green Tours.

Events accompanying the festival include the Green Auto Show, Eco Fashion and International Green Market along with conferences based on Sustainable Transportation, Eco Tourism and Greenovation.

Says Rajiv Suri, Group CEO Retail, Jashanmal Group: “Jashanmal is excited to be part of a campaign to promote sustainable living in the UAE. Eco-friendly solutions are revolutionising the way we live and paving the way for a greener lifestyle and environmentally viable cities.”

“We believe this initiative is in line with Vision 2020 and building the UAE as a sustainable shopping destination and we invite shoppers to be part of this unique experience to support the regional and global cause for sustainability.”

The Green Shopping initiative is expected to draw a record number of shoppers from across the UAE over a month-long period and contribute to building awareness about environmental best practices.
