6th Emirates Classic Car Festival rolls into Downtown Dubai from Feb. 27 to Mar. 3

Dubai, UAE; February 24, 2014: The sixth edition of the annual Emirates Classic Car Festival will be held in Downtown Dubai, the flagship mega-development of Emaar Properties, from February 27 to March 3, 2014. The much-awaited event will feature a wider range of classic cars and motorbikes that will enthrall classic car lovers, automobile enthusiasts, motorcycle aficionados and the general public.
Organised by Emaar Properties, this year, the Emirates Classic Car Festival features a line-up of around 250 classic cars and motorbikes, that date back as early as the 1920s to 1984. They will be presented along the spectacular 3.5km Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, the thoroughfare that encircles Downtown Dubai.
The annual feat will feature various brands of classic cars, from Corvette Sting Rays to Bentleys and Rolls Royce, many of which are being flown in from the GCC, as well as the wider Middle East, Europe, and the US.
Due to popular demand, the 2013 edition was expanded to five days from three, and featured the largest line-up to date with 212 automobiles and nine motorbikes. Seventeen owners were presented with an array of awards ranging from Pre-World War II to Micro Car awards.

Dr. Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of Automobile Touring Club of the United Arab Emirates (ATCUAE), the official representative of the 'Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA), the world-wide authority for historic vehicles, said: “The Emirates Classic Car Festival is a fitting testament to our efforts to promote the passion and dedication of classic car owners towards their vehicles to a wider audience. The Festival demonstrates the bond that man forms with machines that have weathered the test of time. ”
The Emirates Classic Car Festival is held in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Culture, Youth, & Community Development, and ATCUAE, and is considered one of the most-awaited events in Dubai’s calendar.
The opening ceremony of the Emirates Classic Car Festival will be held in front of Emaar Pavilion, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, on February 27, at 3pm, while the Awards ceremony will be held on March 1, at 3pm.
