New Volkswagen Instamania competition challenges fans to get snapping

Dubai, 15 February, 2014 – Al Nabooda Automobiles, the exclusive distributor of Volkswagen in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, today launched a new photography competition encouraging fans of the iconic Volkswagen brand to get creative behind the lens and showcase their photography talents.

The “Volkswagen Instamania” contest, running from now until 6 March, will see one winner take home a state of the art Canon 6D 24-105 IS KIT camera worth AED11,300. Budding photographers and Instagram lovers simply need to like the Volkswagen Dubai Instagram page and then upload a great shot of any Volkswagen car, mentioning @VWDubai when posting the picture to be in with a chance to win.

The top 10 photographs will be shortlisted by a panel put together by Volkswagen Dubai and the participants will be invited to the Al Nabooda Automobiles showroom in Dubai on Friday 14 March. The group will enjoy an interactive workshop with two of the region’s top automotive and lifestyle photographers, Wouter Kingma and Khalid Termanini, who will share their advice and experiences of capturing moments and shooting incredible images around the world. That advice will be put into practice when the amateurs take new photographs of the vehicles on display.

Their best shot of the day will be uploaded to the Volkswagen Dubai social media sites and the image with the most ‘likes’ will be crowned the Volkswagen Instamania winner, taking home the coveted Canon camera.
