Al-Futtaim Motors named automotive sponsor of Dubai Tour

United Arab Emirates, Dubai, February 6th2014: In a further demonstration of its commitment to support the UAE Government's initiatives during the build-up to Expo 2020, Al-Futtaim Motors – Toyota has been named as an automotive sponsor of the inaugural Dubai Tour.
Taking place in Dubai for the first time, Dubai Tour is a professional cycling race that opens this year's UCI Asia Tour and is supported by Dubai Sports Council, RCS Sport, Expo 2020, RTA and Dubai Sports.
As part of the agreement with Al-Futtaim Motors, a total of 25 Toyota vehicles have been made available to the organisers of the race to service a wide range of transportation needs before, during and after the event.
“As the RTA is involved in the transportation solutions for Dubai Tour, Al-Futtaim Motors is privileged to be an automotive partner for this important event. It is a reiteration of our commitment to the UAE government's efforts aimed at further improving the country's international profile through hosting sporting events of worldwide appeal,” said Jon Williams, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Motors.
“This sponsorship is also an opportunity for Toyota, and Al-Futtaim Motors, to build a greater bridge with individuals leading active lifestyles who are interested in recreational sports such as cycling.”
This activity builds on recent Al-Futtaim Motors sponsorships including the UAE Football Association and the Dubai International Parachuting Championship.”
Dubai Tour is taking place from 5 to 8 February 2014.
