Lexus fourth consecutive presence at the World Future Energy Summit

Dubai, United Arab Emirates,16th January 2014: Al-Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor for Lexusin the UAE,has confirmed its fourth consecutive presence at the World Future Energy Summit(WFES) from 20 – 22 January 2014 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, reiterating the Japanese automaker's credentials as a world leader in the luxury hybrid segment.
“WFES provides us at Al-Futtaim Motors – Lexus with a permanent green energy forum to showcase our leadership and innovation credentials in the premium hybrid vehicle segment,” said Saud Abbasi, General Manager, Al-Futtaim Motors – Lexus. “In the UAE, we offer a comprehensivelineup of hybrid models including LSh, GSh, RXh, and CThwhich allows us to cater for wider target segments within the luxury automotive market.”
At the show's Japanese pavilion stand number 9200, Al-Futtaim Motors - Lexus will display two of its high performance hybrid vehicles, 2014 LShand 2014 RXh.Both vehicles are equipped with the cutting-edge Lexus Hybrid Drive technology which features an Electric Vehicle-Drive Mode that enables vehicles to run purely on electric power at lower speeds and with zero emissions.
Since its introduction,Lexus Hybrid Drive system has evolved and is now widely considered as the most advanced automotive powertrain in the world. It has recorded over nine billion kilometers of hybrid drive time, a feat equivalent to circumnavigating the globe over 224,000 times.
Apart from the vehicles displayed at the show, GSh and CTh are also available in the UAE market. GSh features a 3.5 liter V6 engine - the innovative D-4S (Direct-injection 4-stroke Superior-version) and highly efficient Atkinson Cycle engine is at the heart of this full hybrid, while the CTh is powered by a 1.8 liter full hybrid powertrain producing performance levels equivalent to a 2 litergasoline engine.
The prices of Lexus hybrid vehicles start from AED 138,000.
