Abu Dhabi, UAE:  The Costa neoRivieria is 216 meters long and weighs 48,200 tons and she celebrated her Abu Dhabi maiden call at Zayed Port, on Thursday 28 November. 

Officials from Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) handed over a commemorative plaque to the captain of the ship, officially honoring this special occasion.

The cruise liner, which sails for Costa Crociere offers a capacity for 1700 passengers and 670 crew members, will be visiting Abu Dhabi on a weekly basis until February 2014. With a total of eleven calls, the neoRiviera will be staying overnight each time, giving all guests a comprehensive day and night-time experience of Abu Dhabi.

The ship's one week itinerary is called “The Emirates in Style”, and includes a day at the private Al Maya Island Resort and a night under the desert sky, with an incredible dawn spectacle and breakfast at an Arabian village.
