A Cooking Affair to Remember- Sicilia to Host Award Winning Chef Antonella Ricci
Last Update: Monday, October 28, 2013 : 09:52 (+4GMT)
Dubai (UAE), 27 November 2013- Award winning chef Antonella Ricci will make Sicilia her home for four days and join forces with Stefano Ligori, resident chef, to bring Italy's finest flavours to Dubai between the 7th and the 10th of November 2013 from 7.00pm until 11.00pm.
For the four day long cooking fiesta, Ricci has specially created a set menu that is bound to leave the most sceptical of food critics intrigued. All the items on the menu will be made from scratch with the freshest of ingredients handpicked by Ricci herself.
Some of her “seriously Italian” creations include pinwheel of handmade pasta stuffed with meat and eggplant, Apulian Straccitella fresh cheese sprinkled with zucchini flowers and fresh mint as well halibut in pistachio crust accompanied with citrus and fennel salad amongst others. Guests are welcomed to take a culinary journey to Italy and devour the menu for only AED 285.
Ricci's “cooking genius” and unprecedented dedication to her craft do not come as a surprise. Her love and passion for Italian cuisine developed since young age at her own Michelin starred family owned restaurant ‘Al Fornello da Ricci' situated at Ceglie Messapica in Salento (Puglia). Ever since she has won numerous awards and her deep knowledge of ingredients and cooking techniques have granted her a stint as teacher at the ‘Alma Cooking School' near Parma, established by Gualtiero Marchei, one of the greatest Italian chefs.
The fifth edition of the “The Italian Cuisine World Summit” will take place in Dubai at the most prestigious Italian restaurants, between the 7th and the 10th of November. The summit is under the patronage of the Italian embassy in the UAE and the Italian Consulate General in Dubai.
